Arthur Baudendistel began his career in 1982 in Carmichael at American River Hospital as a new graduate. After 12 months, he moved to a privately owned Physical Therapy practice in Carmichael, where he remained for 15 years. In 1998, Arthur had the opportunity to purchase his own practice, again in Carmichael. All three places of his employment have been virtually located on the same corner, making him a staple of the community! It has been his desire to keep his practice small, professional and personable. Arthur has been able to accomplish this with his very capable and experienced staff. He was able to retain his invaluable office manager, Cindra Voges, from the previous owner; she has now been with the practice since 1976. Baudendistel Physical Therapy will help patients achieve their personal goals, whether it is continuing in their sport, returning to work, or maintaining an independent life style. One on one care will be friendly, yet professional.
Arthur married his wife Rosalyn in 1981; they thoroughly enjoyed raising their four children. It was a very busy household, as they were all athletic and participated in many sports. In his leisure time, Arthur enjoys the great outdoors, often camping, backpacking, cycling and hiking. One of his greatest pleasures is guiding family and friends of all ages to the top of Yosemite’s Half Dome; which he has accomplished 15 times.

Born and raised in Folsom, CA, Matthew has always had a strong and loving relationship with his parents, Arthur and Rosalyn, as well as his 3 older siblings. He knew he wanted to be a physical therapist since the age of 13 when his 7th grade teacher asked each student to share with the class what they wanted to be when they grew up. “I want to help people by becoming a physical therapist,” he said. At age 26 that dream was realized after graduating as a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Fresno State University in 2016.
While in PT school, Matthew had 30 total weeks of full-time internship experience in the cities of Sacramento, San Diego, and Fresno. He spent 21 weeks as a student intern with hands-on experience in outpatient orthopedic settings including Kaiser Permanente and Sharp Rees-Stealy. He did his last full-time clinical rotation at an inpatient neurological rehab center at a Fresno community hospital for 9 weeks. As a recent graduate, Matthew is eager to expand upon his current knowledge base through his many clinical experiences, learning from his mentors, and participating in continuing education courses. Because of his his lifelong participation in, and love of sports, Matthew plans on becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) so that he may be better equipped to work with recovering athletes in the future.
Pilates-Based Exercise Specialist
California State University of Sacramento; 1992;
BS in Physical Education (Pre-Therapy emphasis)
Samuel Merritt College; 1997; MPT
Upon Graduating with her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Samuel Merritt College, Meredith returned to her hometown of Sacramento to complete her six month internship at Sutter Roseville Hospital which led to a permanent acute / outpatient position at Mercy San Juan.
After a few years she explored a short term outpatient Kaiser registry position in Walnut Creak in order to gain more experience with Bay Area Pilates instructors. Her insight and success in treating chronic pain due to spinal pathology using Pilates methodology led to the opening of a prevention/wellness studio in 1999. Although her original professional interests temporarily took a backseat to the priority of caring for her two young children, she still enjoyed developing pilates-based exercise programs on a consultant basis for friends and family. Currently, Meredith is building on her strong pilates / yoga movement background by incorporating principles in Selective Functional Movement Assessment and Functional Core Training. She plans to continue to advance her skills in maintaining / restoring precise movement of specific segments in order to prevent or correct musculoskeletal dysfunction. Professionally, she also continues her involvement in writing projects specifically related to the mind / body / spirit connection and women’s health issues.
When Meredith is not involved in her role as physical therapist, she stays busy raising her two children. She finds her greatest joy in her role as mom and enjoys being involved in the kids’ school, sports, music, and church communities. In all her spare time (ha,ha), you can find her escaping from the stresses of life at the Sacramento Ballroom where she attempts to perfect the art of International Style Ballroom Dance.
